Blogging
Seeing that this will be the first blogpost on my newly designed blog…a work in progress…I thought I’d say a few things about blogging…my thoughts on blogging so to say…
Why does blogging appeal to some and not to others? Why do people blog? I’ve asked myself the questions a dozen times before and the answer is not as simple as one might think.
I think people blog for a lot of different reason. For me the following is true:
- I love reading other people’s blogs. Other people that enrich my life by sharing their thoughts and experiences, I would love to find blogmates that enjoy my blog as much as I enjoy to read theirs, it’s a way of connecting with others, whenever, wherever and most bloggers put more thought into what the write than into the smalltalk of their everyday life.
- Blogging is a great way to organise your toughts and having other people benefit from that effort.
- Blogging/diarising makes one live more in the present and appreciate the delicate in everyday life, living with greater awareness and thoughtfulnes, looking more poetically at life and the deeper relevance of things that happen around you.
- It’s a great way of helping people to get to know you on a deeper level and they can do so from anywhere in the world in their own time.
- It exercises your written fluency and verbalisation of thought.
That pretty much summarises my motivations behind blogging. I have no political agendas or a particularly strong message (apart from promoting infertility awareness) that I would like to communicate via my blog. It’s simply a place where I can organise my thoughts, relax, and enjoy the journey of discovery of myself through online particiation with likeminded individuals. It might take a while to find them, but find them I will do.
