Synchronicity
I had to smile when I read my daily dose of thinkarete this morning…
Written right at the top of my instruction sheet from Vitalab, which I got yesterday is written – INCREASE DAILY FLUID INTAKE TO 2,5 – 3 LITRES PER DAY
I’ve been so busy that I’ve completely forgotten about this! *now slurping away at [...]
You wanna inject that where?!
I just loved this commons picture!

Don’t you just love that expression…
Reminded me how I felt having to do my first hormone injections…and HSG…and speculum…funny…
Should I stay or should I go…
On top of my wishlist…
I’m a sucker for gadgets, have always been. Especially when the gadget has some advanced scientific application that I can use in my daily life…I suppose I quite like obsessing over one thing or another. My latest obsession is the science behind fitness.
It took me a while to get into the idea of [...]

My personal trainer Megan, or “Helga” as Sam has dubbed her…has not managed to break my spirit despite her new favourite quote “Not on my time, no you don’t!”
This is a typically reply on a request such as: “can I just catch my breath!?” or something similarly pathetic…I mean who the hell needs to breathe [...]
A Trip to Porterville/Stellenbosh/Cape Town…
I’ve been meaning to write about my trip to Porterville/Tulbagh/Ceres/Stellenbosh/Cape Town a few weeks ago and have not purely because a lot of it has to be told in pictures.
The Cape region is just so picture perfect one simply cannot resist to drag the oversized camera with you and forget about the fear of looking [...]
Like the thinking…
Ok, now as some of you have probably noticed…the very perceptive creatures that you are…I’m a bit of a thinker…I would rather say I’m just bloody curious…but I suppose thinker is also an appropriate naming for my inquisitive nature.
I’ve been looking for some online journals on reproductive care etc. and subscriptions are just unbelievably expensive! [...]
A Fertile day in the life of an infertile…gone all wrong…
Ok, my appointment with Dr. V yesterday revealed a perfectly normal HSG – lovely.
A quick scan also confirmed the presence f a 20mm follicle/corpus luteum (no stimulation), which means my sunday positive ovulation was in fact exactly that – a positive ovulation! Not only that but my thyroid is in perfect balance – wonderful!
Now [...]
Yet another personality questionaire…
Due to my natural curiosity I simply cannot resist these types of tests, especially if they purport some kind of authenticity.

A Fertile day in the life of an infertile…
Strange how infertility becomes part of one’s identity. What used to be a word to describe sad, unfortunate creatures that have been visited by a healthy dose of bad luck, now becomes one of the top 5 tags to describe myself.
One of the reasons for this is the odd affliction of “fertile days” – [...]
I’ll have an asprin with that…
Ok, now my workout from Thursday has come to its full expression, like a bad breath, the morning after the party, filled with remorses like…I really should not have had that cigar or any of the last 5 jeggermeisters…or I should have at leasts brushed my teeth before bed…only thing is, I did nothing of [...]
